Vietnam Innovation Network in Europe (VINEU) officially launches activities in France. Overseas Vietnamese professors and experts, as well as representatives of agencies, did not mind the cold and rainy weather to attend the event.
As one of eight networks in the world sponsored by the National Center for Innovation and Creativity, VINEU has the mission of converging Vietnamese knowledge in Europe, working together to provide solutions for sustainable development. Attending the event were Ms. Pham Thi Kim Yen, Minister Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in France, chief representatives of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam in France, as well as representatives of National Innovation Center (NIC) and many overseas Vietnamese professors and experts.
At the ceremony, VINEU Chairman, Dr. Pham Huy Hoang introduced the goals, meaning and strategy of the network, as well as VINEU’s activities since its launch in November 2021. Mr. Pham Huy Hoang said: “Most recently, VINEU coordinated with hub.brussels to organize an exchange program for 10 outstanding Vietnamese start-ups to Brussels (Belgium) to learn and exchange. understanding of innovation, as well as the ability to apply technology to the production and supply of products that meet the criteria of the European market.”
According to Mr. Pham Huy Hoang, Chairman of the Vietnam Innovation Network in Europe, ViNEU strives to find solutions from overseas intellectuals to promote innovation in Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Deputy Ambassador to France Pham Thi Kim Yen highly appreciated VINEU’s activities towards finding solutions to solve problems and challenges of development in Vietnam, especially is in the country’s innovation process. VINEU’s expansion of operations in France is a good opportunity to mobilize and take advantage of the abundant resources of intellectuals in the Vietnamese community in France.
